Once you've assembled your new Ozpig it's very important to following the correct burn in procedure for the first use. It's during this time that you pave the way for a long lasting paint finish by correctly baking the paint onto the steel. The paint on the cylinder will need to reach a temperature of 300C for 1 hour to harden the paint and bake it into the metal. To ensure best results, it's important to start small low temperature fire for the first 15 minutes, this is best done with some small twigs or kindling, then gradually building up the fire over the 20 minutes. For best results maintain a large fire in the Ozpig for 2-3 hours, with a minimum of 1 hour. You need to allow the paint to harden before touching the surface. This method of seasoning applies to all 3 models of Ozpig.
